• Make sure to fill out the consultation form and answer questions truthfully and thoroughly. Especially when it comes to allergies, medications and products you use or any services you have had done recently. Be as specific as possible.

• Avoid getting waxed/threading 24 hours before your facial. These services can cause sensitivities and a possible reaction to the products used during your treatment.

• Avoid any strong at home facial treatments the week before and any exfoliation treatments a few days prior as this will be done during your facial and I want to avoid over sensitizing your skin.

• Stay out of the sun/tanning bed for a week before your facial, if possible. Sun damage and skin care don’t mix.

Wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to change out of. You will be provided a spa robe to wear during your service.

Avoid wearing a lot of jewelry because most facials include massage and I will be asking you to remove it to avoid getting product in it.

If you just had botox or fillers injected you will have to wait at least 1 week for a regular facial and at least 2 week for the Sculpt, Lift and Relax/ Buccal Massages to avoid the risk of moving the injectable around to the wrong area.

It is preferred you come right before you are due for an eyelash extension fill. The steam, hot towels and products may effect the lash glue and your extensions.

To maintain the benefits of your facial and protect your skin, follow these tips:

1. Avoid Heavy Makeup:

Let your skin breathe for at least 24 hours. This allows your pores to remain clear and reduces the risk of irritation.

2. Stay Out of the Sun:

Your skin is more sensitive after a facial. Avoid direct sun exposure and always wear SPF 30 or higher to protect your skin.

3. Skip the Gym:

Avoid activities that make you sweat heavily for 24 hours to prevent bacteria from entering your freshly cleansed pores.

4. Postpone Exfoliation:

Avoid using exfoliating products or treatments for 3-5 days. Your skin is already exfoliated during the facial and needs time to recover.

5. Be Gentle with Your Skin:

Use a gentle cleanser and avoid harsh skincare products like retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs for 48 hours.

6. Stay Hydrated:

Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.

7. Avoid Hot Environments:

Skip saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for 24-48 hours to prevent irritation and redness.

8. Follow Your Esthetician’s Recommendations:

Stick to the post-facial skincare regimen your esthetician suggests to maintain the results.

9. Don’t Pick at Your Skin:

Resist the urge to touch or pick at your face to avoid introducing bacteria or causing breakouts.

If you are dealing with breakouts I recommend scheduling a facial every 3-4 weeks. For maintenance purposes a facial every 4-6 weeks.

Dermaplaning is an effective superficial exfoliation that involves the removal of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the face

PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Ensure skin is properly hydrated prior to treatment by drinking plenty of water and using a good moisturizer day and night. Dermaplaning very dry or dehydrated skin increases the risk for the blade catching.

2. 24-48 hours prior to treatment, discontinue using all alpha hydroxy acid products (those containing Glycolic or Lactic acid), Salicylic products, and other acne medications such as Benzoyl peroxide.

3. The following procedures should not be performed for a minimum of 7 days before Dermaplaning: waxing, cosmetic injections (Botox, fillers), Chemical Peels, laser treatments.

4. Discontinue use of Vitamin A products 5-7 days prior to treatment. For prescription Retinoids, discontinue use 2 weeks prior.

5. Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds 2 weeks prior to treatment.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mild redness or tightness in the skin can be experienced for the first 24-48 hours post treatment and occasionally light flaking in localized areas. It is extremely important that you do no pick, scratch, pull or rub your skin during or after the treatment. If you do, it may damage underlying new skin, and cause scarring or pigmentation changes. Drink plenty of water and apply moisturizer as needed.

2. For the first 24 hours adhere to the following: avoid chemical hair treatments, sleep on back if possible, a fresh pillow case should be used, avoid excess heat from hot showers, steam rooms, hot tubs or extensive exercise, avoid use of make-up or irritating cosmetics. Do not go swimming for 48 hours post treatment. Chlorine, excess heat and irritating make-up or skin care may cause complications such as hyperpigmentation, rash or unwanted reaction.

3. No waxing, use of AHA’s, BHA’s, Retinoids, perfumes or exfoliation tools for 7 days post treatment.

4. No direct sun exposure or tanning for at least 2 weeks after your treatment. It is absolutely imperative to wear a minimum SPF 30 daily before, during and after Dermaplaning or any advanced exfoliation procedure.

Buccal, or intraoral massage is a technique in which the muscles, ligaments and lymphatic system is massaged from the internal and external portions of the mouth to relieve jaw tension and sculpt, lift and define the lower portion of the face. Excellent for relieving TMJ as well as reducing jowling and puffiness and enhancing cheekbones.
